Precision Valve Components Q&A

Our precision valve components are primarily produced using the semi-silica sol low-temperature wax investment casting process. This method combines the high dimensional accuracy of silica sol casting with the low shrinkage and dimensional stability of low-temperature wax, making it ideal for manufacturing complex, uneven-wall-thickness valve components with good surface finish and dense, stable internal quality.

The manufacturing process follows these steps:

1.Wax Injection – Low-temperature wax is injected into molds under controlled temperature and humidity to produce accurate wax patterns with smooth surfaces and no flow marks.

2.Tree Assembly – Multiple wax patterns are welded onto a sprue and runner system to form a “wax tree,” ensuring smooth metal filling and sufficient feeding during solidification.

3.Slurry Coating & Stuccoing – The wax tree is dipped into semi-silica sol slurry, coated with refractory sand, and dried. This process is repeated multiple times to build up a ceramic shell of the required thickness.

4.Dewaxing – The wax tree is placed in a steam autoclave to melt out the low-temperature wax, leaving a hollow cavity inside the ceramic shell.

5.Shell Firing – The ceramic shell is sintered in a furnace at high temperature to remove residual wax and volatiles, increasing shell strength and permeability.

6.Melting & Pouring – Stainless steel raw materials are melted in an induction furnace according to standard formulas. After composition verification by spectrometer, the molten metal is poured into the fired shell at the appropriate temperature.

7.Shell Removal & Cleaning – After cooling, the ceramic shell is removed via vibration equipment, exposing the cast rough parts, which are then cut and ground to remove gates and risers.

8.Finishing & Inspection – Castings are shot-blasted, trimmed, pickled, and passivated, followed by dimensional, visual, and non-destructive inspections before being sent to machining.

9.Final Inspection & Warehousing – Finished components undergo spectrometer composition verification, full dimensional inspection, and pressure/sealing performance sampling before being packaged and stored.

We strictly implement a “three-inspection” system – first-piece inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection. Key testing equipment includes spectrometers and flaw detectors, enabling comprehensive inspection of dimensional accuracy, material composition, and internal defects. For finished products, we can provide material test reports and dimensional inspection reports to ensure every precision component meets your quality requirements.

Special Alloy Valve Q&A

Special alloy valves are primarily used in severe operating conditions involving strong corrosion, high temperature and high pressure, or strong acids and alkalis, where conventional stainless steel, copper, or aluminum valves cannot withstand corrosion or erosion. Typical applications include pipelines conveying sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, wet chlorine gas, seawater, high-temperature organic acids, and other aggressive media. Special alloy valves offer significant advantages in corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and service life compared to standard stainless steel valves. Although the initial investment is higher, they greatly reduce maintenance and replacement frequency, resulting in lower overall operating costs.

We can supply special alloy valves in materials including Hastelloy (C276, B), Monel (400), Inconel (600/625), Nickel and nickel alloys, Duplex Stainless Steel (2205, 2507), and 904L super austenitic stainless steel. Our product range covers ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, check valves, butterfly valves, strainers, and more. We recommend allowing sufficient procurement time when planning your projects. Special notes for special alloy valves: during installation and maintenance, use dedicated tools and avoid direct contact with iron tools to prevent contamination or surface damage. We also recommend regular inspection of sealing surfaces and fasteners to ensure long-term stable operation. Our product warranty period is 18 months, calculated from the date of shipment.

For standard products with stock available: 7–10 days. For custom-made products, the lead time depends on specifications, quantity, and production requirements – we will confirm the exact date in our quotation.

Yes, we provide samples free of charge – meaning we cover the sample cost. However, shipping costs are to be covered by the customer. In addition, the sample cost can be fully deducted from your first formal order, so your trial investment is essentially refunded once we start doing business together.
